The first thing my partner and I noticed was the room smelt amazing, really fresh and welcoming. The staff at the kiosk were lovely and despite us checking in at 11:30pm had a smile and a chat. Bathroom in the room was fantastic, really spacious, had shampoo conditioner body wash and moisturiser, shower had good pressure and good range of temperature. The bed was clean and comfortable (I did think the pillows were a bit high but i do sleep on very flat ones usually, partner liked them). Tv had a good range of chanel’s. The best part for me and my partner was the usb option on the plugs, rarely we stay in hotels with them but this was a life saver. Check out was easy and when leaving you merge straight into the mortoway so no hassle with country roads. 10/10 we will keep this in mind if we ever stay in the area again.

It was what I expected.
Phoenix Nights.
For me a very local, trusted, quiet hotel near my parents.
Don't expect luxury here, but it has it's place, a sound and safe hotel for older guests typically.
Nothing wrong with it, but dated back to the 80s.
Staff hilarious and dealing with it!
If anyone actually reads this, you should know that back in the day, Noel Edmonds landed his helicopter in this car park. All the kids including me ran from the surrounding houses to see this. I grew up here, this hotel under its various names is part of my life. It's special to me.
Situated just off the M61 motorway, with views over Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors on the outskirts of Bolton, The Mercury has a lively bar and nightly entertainment.
Luxury Unique Townhouse with Hottub & Pizza Oven in Bolton features accommodation with free WiFi, 11 km from Reebok Stadium, 21 km from Heaton Park and 21 km from Trafford Centre.
I loved the town city and visited it almost every day.
I loved the town city and visited it almost every day.
It had all my favorite stores next, lidl, aldi, tjmaxx etc.
I love that the university is just by the town center and it gave me that feeling of being back in school

I am from Bolton, but live overseas. Love the town hall area, but the shops I used to know are not there anymore. Sad to say many major shops gone.
Queen's Park is a lovely place to feed the birds and the squirrels at the pond area. Bought wild bird food from Poundland.
Barrow Bridge and Moss Bank Park also very pleasant to walk through on a sunny day.
The museum is a pleasant and interesting place with a souvenir shop too. Why they had to move the library out of the same building is a mystery to me. Buses usually on time and available during the week and Saturdays.
Good self service laundrettes available which proved helpful when running out of clothes.

It was quite no noise some of the staff need training again with manners to guest, also the girls/lads who clean rooms should be able to acknowledge guest to see if they need anything instead of turning away from them. Other than that nice stay would be nice to speak to staff while staying their communication goes a long way. When been to other hotel spoke to staff had laughs with them.

I visited three venues Cheetham Arms, The Spead Eagle and The Last Drop. Also brunch at Bakers, Edgerton. All had excellent customer service and food in welcoming decorated atmosphere.
Visited Middle Brook shopping centre. An impressive range of retailers.
Travelled as passenger in relatives car. Traffic fairly busy but no hold ups. Would be confident enough to drive solo.
Its in an excellant location, close to the West Pennine Moors. Atmosphere has a lovely friendly local village feel. Plenty of parking and food fantastic. Victoria, pub manager was welcoming and even waited up late for us to arrive last year when we travelled up from London in the evening. We explained we had been caught in traffic and she was lovely about it. Nik even handed out yellow tulips to ladies on Mothers Day. This was the purpose of our visit. To spend Mothers day with my son who lives in Bolton.
Very nice hotel, decent food options, staff/manager very friendly and helpful, very chilled atmosphere and good location. Room was nice and quite big. Breakfast was really tasty. A really clean hotel and was really impressed with the upkeep. Natural features from the 1800s when built but also a modern hotel with sports screens music and a variety of beers, wines, spirits & ciders. We would definitely stay again. Also there was definitely a ghost in our room always a bonus!!
The room was spotless. Unfortunately, I was unable to book breakfast - that was advertised on the site - and they said it was because of covid. I'm afraid that isn't correct, as we know other hotels serve breakfast. Looking at the hotel outside, my stomach sunk - it could REALLY do with a paint/spruce up. The bed wasn't great, but I slept as I was so tired. A spruce up of the outside and some new mattresses, and this hotel would lift it's grading.
The hotel is very good and all the staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly. The rooms are nice and large and have all the facilities you need. I ate both my evening meal and breakfast (buffet) and the food is really good and very filling. As it is part of Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium its very easy to find as well.
Pleasant clean and welcoming. After two weeks in hotels it was good to stretch out.
Friendly neighbours and useful corner shop that seemed to stock everything within a short walk.
Novelty value of staying in a football stadium, even if it was Bolton. Friendly staff, clean room, decent value for money. Lively hotel with lots going on, I’ll come again
Shop and Subwsy right next door number 7 to Bolton just across the road wonderful scenic views marvellous fresh air. Visiting GT Manchester? Stay here ?
