The house itself is amazing, built in 1905, and exceptionally well preserved, combining the ambience of the period with modern conveniences. The rooms are spacious, the bed are comfortable, the bathrooms are stocked with the luxurious “Lemon Grass” soap bars, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. The breakfast is amazing: fresh fruit, fluffy scones, just out of the oven, delicious muffins, hard-boiled eggs, just made and beautifully presented, yogurt, orange juice, and French press coffee (also available: tea and hot chocolate). Everything is served in a very fancy way, reminiscent of the Grand Hotels at the beginning of the last century. The owner is very gracious and kind and goes to great lengths to accommodate the guests’ dietary restrictions. Finally, the B&B is centrally situated, about a five-minute walk to both the river and the downtown area with shops and restaurants. Ruby Manor is truly a gem in the heart of Gananoque!

I liked there was a great little Cafe that you could eat Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner depending on what you needed being out and about enjoying other activities in the area. You Just had to give the owners a heads up on what meal is needed.The Bed was comfortable and the In wall electric Fireplace was an added touch .

The breakfast was 5-star and made exactly to order. We dined in the garden surrounded by the most lovely rose garden. The B&B is an easy 15 minute walk to the center of town and the theaters. The host was attentive to every little detail. Beds were good and neighbourhood was quiet. Place was clean and the host makes fantastic breakfast. Only 2 rooms are tenanted so it's very quiet, and there's easy parking on the property.
