The location of the hotel was truly amazing. The sun beds provided for guests on the beach were really appreciated, not to mention they were right in front of a very nice snorkelling spot (we saw turtles 10m from the beach there!)
The restaurant was also nice (the lime juice was especially tasty), and the restaurant staff lovely.

This was one of our most awaited stays of the trip, and it didn't disappoint. Each of the rooms are unique with features like a patio or an outdoor shower. The property itself is so beautiful. Nice yoga classes. Nice restaurant. And we had a view of the volcano from our room, and that never got old :)

Everyone is so friendly. It's a very safe area.
Everyone is so friendly. It's a very safe area. Good restaurants and bars. The sea is calm and lovely to swim in. I had a great time in Amed. Rimba and Galanga were my favourite places to eat. There is live music each evening in various bars. Taxi scooters are a cheap and easy way to get to places, and readily available.
The negative thing about Amed is the litter on the beach.

To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali.
To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali. Quiet, beautiful snorkeling, amazing nature and rice fields but still a simple laid back vibe. Lots of simple affordable warungs but also new coffee places (that serve meals throughout the day) with Scandinavian look
For snorkeling, we liked Jemeluk best, since it has beautiful corals and fish and a quiet sea.
Riding a scooter is easy and the roads are good.

Amed is a bit no frills in a way.
Amed is a bit no frills in a way. It's a beautiful spot for sure but the beauty is more in the relaxed feel of it and the lack of what makes some of the other places a bit plastic and un-Bali. It's a bit of a diver/backpacker scene and most of the places to eat are smaller-medium warungs, but there is plenty of variety. We are a couple in our 50s (non diving/snorkelling) and we just loved the relaxed calm of it all and the great food.
If you are a snorkeller or diver you'd be in your element here.
It was quiet when we were there ( April - Aussie school hols ) and is probably still quiet generally post covid.
It's cheap too. Maybe not Vietnam cheap for food etc, but your $$ goes a long way.
There's enough to keep you busy around the one beach but it's easy enough to get to other spots via grab. I reckon Jemeluk is the best spot though. It has a greater selection of warungs and little stores.
If you prefer the pristine golden sand experience, Amed may not be your best option but its charm goes very deep.

Beautiful snorkelling and diving.
Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!
The Flower Room I stayes in was amazing;: romantic, clean, spacious decorated in Bali style. Nothing will ever beat the End of the day shower under the stars.
The restaurant is right on the beach and the Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and kind.
I loved that the fishing boats were next to the hotel beach, it was nice to see the local fisherman’s daily life and hear their fishing stories.
For anyone who loves to snorkel, at the end of the beach is a Japanese second war shipwreck, an easy, off shore snorkelling.
It was the best accomodation in Bali for us so far. The staff was super nice, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and we could choose from many options. They can also arrange a fish BBQ for you on the beach which is nice. We also borrowed the snorkeling equipment from the guest house. The location is also good - there are a lot of warugs and restaurants around (could be reached by walk) and nice beaches for snorkeling reachable via scooter. We would definitelly go there once again.
The hosts, Ni Putu and I Ketut, were amazing! Extremely accommodating and they really go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable during my stay. The view of Mount Agung from the inn was breathtaking, right at my doorstep, so every breakfast felt so rejuvenating. If you need laundry service or a motorbike rental, you can get assistance from Putu and Ketut -- they'll arrange it for you. In fact, Putu even arranged for me to have my full body balinese massage in the comfort of my own room!
The rooms are spacious, nice, clean and right next to the beach from where you can go out snorkeling.
The fishermen go out early in the morning and come back during the morning with their boats, which is noisy, the departure at 4 o’clock we never heard and never woke up because of that.
The food was very good.
To get there from Sanur we arranged a transport by Amed Bali Adventure, which we can highly recommend, a transport organized by the hotel is way too expensive.
The most beautiful place i have stayed at in bali! Great room , comfy beds, quiet accomodation and you feel like your the only ones there. Great breakfast options also. The staff made breakfast early too on 2 occasions. Theres also some resort cats/kittens that seem well looked after which to me says alot about the people running the place!
Pool is lovely and location is great - able to walk to some warungs. As always in Amed - you need a scooter to get around.
absolutely stunning accommodation on the hill side. it is a little out of Amed but the location is still a 10 min scooter from the center and has the better beach right out the front with amazing snorkeling. still has lots of great restaurants near. pool is very clean and has an excellent view. Breakfasts were big and delicious. nice and quiet, we had the top villa which is for sure the best if you’re okay to climb a few stairs.
outdoor shower was a highlight.
Teman Teman 1 is a great family owned small, basic hotel, only 4 rooms beachfront and 2 bungalows just across the road. It is my go to place now in Amed, great value for money, perfect location, beachfront in Jemeluk Bay, awesome snorkeling straight out the front off the beach. Boat trips available if you want tours.Rooms are good, clean and perfect for my budget needs. Warung attached for meals. Lovely staff who always make me feel welcome.🙏
The location was pleasant. The beach was great. The room was beautifully presented. Definitely recommend if you are wanting a nice quiet relaxing place to stay when in Bali. Location was good, plenty of places to eat and drink. I would recommend eating at Sama Sama Amed's restaurant as opposed to others. The food is delicious, the staff are great and of course its part of the hotel albeit across the road for the actual appartments.
Wayan, Kadek and Nyoman always make us feel like one of their own family, taking care of any of our needs day or night. From the freshest Tropical Fruit and coconuts straight from the trees, to Mahi Mahi delivered to your doorstep we are totally immersed in the Jungle life! Nyoman will take you off the beaten track and show you parts of Bali most will never see, and arrange any travel you need no matter the time.
The pool was amazing! And the villa was big and we had the most beautiful view to the sea from our balcony. Nice restaurants nearby. Snorkling straight from the beach. Our kids really enjoyed the pool! Wifi worked perfectly.
This is one of the best places we’ve ever been in Bali and we have been here many times travelling around the island.
Best place we visited in Bali. The location was just perfect in a more quiet area of Amed. Accommodation is nice and clean, but best of all it is really friendly and cosy! The host Kadek and his son are really nice people and we had a great time! They organised a local fishing trip and made bbq for us in the evening. Really recommend!
This is the best place in Amed for us. The view from the room is just amazing and you can just relax and enjoy the ocean from the room. The infinity pool was very clean and we got some great pictures. Amazing room and the owner is very helpful. Location is fantastic overall this was our best stay so far in Bali.
The best hotel of our Bali trip. We also stayed there before covid and it did not change. Next to the perfect beach for sunset, clean, and beautiful. The breakfast is good, the staff is super nice and helpful and will arrange motorbike rental and transfer to/from your next destination at good price.
Best breakfast in bali so far, with heaty portions and great choice. Beautiful villas with every detail covered eg even first aid kits. Private beach and shoreline snorkeling. Check out the Seaview waring restaurant 50m to the left amazing food. Lovely staff and exceptional service
Excellent location, friendly and accommodating staff, clean pool, great views from the balcony leading up to the room, nice breakfast, reasonably priced restaurant right next to the beach, good WiFi throughout the hotel, a Balinese cake was given to us when we checked out
The happiest staff in Amed. Super clean room. Private access to Lipah beach for snorkelling. Best beach to stay at. Breakfast was huge and tasty. Hired scooter and snorkeling gear at the hotel. eat at Warung Asli across the road, amazing view and freshest food ever.
It was really good to see how they managed to fit everything that's required in a room in not too big of a space. The location of the hotel is probably the best in Amed with stunning views of mount Agung. The staff were helpful. It was really a good stay.
The best hotel during our 5 weeks travel trough Bali. Amazing Ocean View from the Apartments or Pool Area. Everything very clean and good from hotel service. A hotel to relax and enjoy. Perfect
the property is really nice and cosy ,the rooms are big and spacious , over looking the best sandy beach in Amed , and the best part is the beach we saw turtles and snorkeled with it❤️
