Cosy ‘living’ pod with underfloor heating and some cooking facilities (microwave, air fryer, single electric stovetop ring - no oven). The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town/harbour and castletownbere is a good base for this area.

Very friendly host, nice view from the house, excellent breakfast.
Castletownbere is a fabulous place to visit. It is such a good base making it very easy to visit surrounding areas including Garnish, Dursry Island, Glengariff, Bantry, Kenmare and so on.
There is also an excellent rural bus service now which is great for people that don’t drive and it runs all through the year
There is a good variety of shops to visit and some lovely little pubs and bars including the fabulous McCarthys which has a lot of character and has a little shop inside, a great place to visit. Then there’s Harrington’s store and you can but almost anything there including little gifts to take home. Lynch’s is a lovely place to eat and do lovely food including vegetarian options. There are lots of hairdresser and beauty studios if needed

There is so much to do in this area.
There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

I love the Beara Penisnsula & on this occasion Castletownbere just shone. Weather was absolutely perfect. Great buzz about town & a great feel when you are there. Scenery absolutely stellar & Bere Island is a treat. Just a lovely town to spend a good few days relaxing & drinking it all in.
A beautiful B&B located in a quiet yet wonderful location easily accessible by car (not sure about another mode of transport as I used my own car). The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Ideal location if you are planning a ring of Beara trip.
The Pods are everything I hoped they would be , cosy, clean and relaxing and that's what we got . Staff were always about . The pods were fantastic and the views from our pod , we were blown away . The beach is just walking distance . Everything was just top class. Iv already rebooked and I only left today 🤣. 10/10 . We always go abroad but this trip to Castletownbere and staying in the Pods has made me holiday at home and see our georgeous country . 🇨🇮
Brian and Caroline are the perfect hosts, They provided a proffessional approach as from greeting to departure, the breakfast is continental but it is parallel to a truly 5***** star hotel.we arrived not knowing what to expect and we left as friends, and we certainly can recommend the Harbour View and when we back we hoping to stay there again. Thank you so much for making our short stay so enjoyable, thank you again Brian & Caroline.
Without a doubt, the best B&B in all of Beara. Beautiful room, great location, and the hotel is staffed by angels - Michelle, Lorna and all the staff put in so much effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is absolutely divine - unparalleled breakfast, and the Tea Room serves the best cake we've ever eaten. If you wish to explore the Beara Peninsula, make the Old Medical Hall your base of operations.
Everything was lovely. Denis the host is gracious & helpful — as needed. The location is terrific for getting out & about in the town of Castletownbere, with a wonderful view across the bay to Bere Island. The breakfast each morning is sumptuous, cold cuts, fruit salad, freshly baked bread, eggs & sausage on weekends. There's even a small library of books about the West Cork region.
Philippe and Sophie are very kind people!
They always gave me a lift and are interested in getting to know their guests. They were always there to help me out and gave great suggestions on what to explore around Castletownbere ❤️. Thank you!
The rooms and the whole house are very clean and spacious, the garden is beautiful. There is fresh juice for breakfast which I enjoyed 😊
Fantastic modern cottage in superb location, with towering Hungry Hill above and glorious views across Gantry Bay below. The house is only a 10-minute drive away from Castletownbere, with its bars and restaurants. Very tranquil position, peaceful at night. Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Beara peninsula and beyond.
Superb ground floor apartment. Spotless clean. Beautiful courtyard outside. Essentials on arrival.( tea, coffee, bread, milk and eggs)
Decor was very nice.
Apartment is central, minutes, from pier.
Met the host, who was very nice.
When visiting castletownbere, hopefully we can stay again.
Nice little place right at the waterfront in Castletownbere. Well located and there are plenty of parking bays close by.
Room was cozy with good heating and decent size bed. Quite a few pubs nearby for a Guinness!
Communication from the manager was really good and made everything easy.
Lovely b&b located centrally in Castletownbere. Owners communicated exceptionally well through app & assisted with every need. Spent 2 night prior to the start of my hike & the first night I had gotten in quite late & they had left homemade chocolate chip cookies & makings for tea :)
This B&B was exceptional in terms of cleanliness, customer service and location. The room was like a hotel room- we were very impressed with how spacious it was and how modern it was. Bathroom was very clean also. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here!
The landlady, Mary, was so helpful. Gave me lots of information and history about the area. Drove me into a local restaurant in Castletownbere on the first night. She left a continental breakfast available for me due to my departure being outside of her scheduled serving times.
Fabulous views, with outdoor seating to enjoy the sun. Mary went out of her way to facilitate check-in and ensure a fun and productive stay in beautiful Castletownbere. The very pleasant Anna, who saw to the diningroom, made sure everyone had all they needed.
We had breakfast at Lynch's On The Pier in Castletownbere.
Great experience. Service and food were great.
We checked in and out with Shiela, and she was friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful.

Lovely, spacious house & grounds in a perfect location just outside Castletownbere. All the facilities required for a great week. I would definitely stay there again.
