A truly lovely city without the chaos of Jaipur or Delhi. It felt like an oasis. The city centre is very exciting - and attractive. The sunset boat ride is a must, also the puppet show at the museum, and the folk dancing at the city palace.

When you arrive, you get a warm welcome and explanation of the things to do around Udaipur, along with advice on what (not) to skip. They are happy to advise you on any questions you may have (we were looking for a sweets shop and they recommended a great one!). The hotel is very comfortable and well kept. The location is amazing and in walking distance of many major attractions. There is also a security guy at the entrance of the alley leading up to the hotel to keep you safe.

The staff were friendly and super helpful, even helping me carry my luggage down the street to where I could catch a taxi. The onsite restaurant is fine, and the art store in the building has lots of beautiful things for very fair, hassle free prices. The location is perfect, too - it's steps from the lake at Gangaur Ghat and an easy walk to many of Udaipur's attractions.

We had a standard room with no view which turned out to be far nicer than expected. It was good sized with a large modern bathroom and beautiful architecture. The hotel location was also right in the heart of town, close to the City Palace and other sights and shops. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast served at the rooftop restaurant was very good!
