Clean, comfortable room with lovely view of the Solent. Trouble free checking in with plenty of information for our stay. Many delicious choices for breakfast and although we didn't use the mini bar and thoughtful extras, we were very impressed. Never had hair straighteners before in a room, thank you.

Lovely little place, we enjoyed our walks around the area...
Lovely little place, we enjoyed our walks around the area and relaxing and watching the boats etc. Very easy to get to, loads of eateries and pubs. If you like Yachts and boats then you will be in heaven, but even if you dont theres still plenty to keep you occupied. Its also very easy to move around the island from Cowes whether you drive or use the bus service.

I know Cowes well because my mother in law lived there so...
I know Cowes well because my mother in law lived there so for many years I regularly visited her and stayed in the town. Since she died I have not visited as often and hadn't been to the Isle of Wight for two years until I stayed this autumn. It was a quick visit, but the shops in Cowes and the waterfront areas and town beaches are always interesting. I wouldn't stay quite as late in the year again as many places shut at the end of October or by early November, and if they're not shut completely they can be quiet and shut early (eg some of the out of town shops). Even the Cowes shops were beginning to wind down about 4pm on the Saturday and there weren't many people about. So do go but the warmer months and early autumn are probably better as there's more going on and there are more options. We ate at Mojac's and the Pier Inn, both excellent places for evening meals. The Pier Inn is also a pub but has a separate dining area. It was nice to go in pubs and for them not to be crowded but they do shut bang on 11pm.

Easy access to Osborne House in East Cowes.
Easy access to Osborne House in East Cowes. Really worth a visit! The island is very small and so one can drive round it and see lots each day.. Everywhere on the island is less than 35 minutes from Cowes (in October). Lots of good restaurants in Cowes.

We love the Isle of Wight.
We love the Isle of Wight. Beautiful island and I feel so safe there. We ate at The Coast which we thoroughly recommend. Tremendous atmosphere.
When we didn't use our car we used a local taxi who were brilliant and never let us down.

We enjoyed our visit although as it was the Isle of Wight...
We enjoyed our visit although as it was the Isle of Wight Festival during our visit traffic queues and road closures were in abundance. We spent a lovely day at the Big Cat sanctuary which was fairly empty making it a good opportunity to see the cats and talk to the keepers who are all so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Great visit. There are lots of shopping facilities, great views and lovely little hamlets and places to visit around the island. The park we stayed in was peaceful but had easy access to Cowes and to the ferry port. Friendly people and we enjoyed great weather.
Sunny and warm. Great location. Staff friendly and supportive.
The living room contains the queen size bed as well the sofa(bed). The room is of decent size although it got a bit cramped once the sofa bed was laid out.
The kitchenette is a separate room which I prefer. The apartment is on the Cowes high street and there is a taxi rank and bus stop right behind the apartment.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
It's so unique and it made our trip. Isle of Wight is beautiful but was made particularly special by our stay at Ward Avenue B&B. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, gave us great recommendations, brought a delicious breakfast to our cabin (vegetarian options available), and helped us enjoy our stay to the max. The room was cosy but not small, and I can't recommend it enough.
The bed was the best part of the room - large, quite comfy, crisp and clean sheets. The restaurant and bar downstairs were good on days when everything in town was closed (Sunday night and the Queens funeral on Monday). The staff were all nice. Bathroom had a small tub, a nice bonus.
Warm and welcoming host. Immaculate accommodation, small touches like chocolate and fruit in the room as well as coffee on arrival - Paula is a fabulous host.
Convenient location - walking distance into Cowes High Street.
You won't be disappointed if you stay at Onefifty.
Excellent chalet, friendly welcome and very spacious. Had everything we needed and more. A quiet location with sea views and well positioned for the ferries and the sights. A perfect base for seeing the Isle of Wight. The TV was huge and we enjoyed exploring Amazon Prime.
Great location amazing old building, lovely friendly staff, Situated in heart of Cowes near all amenities, mins from Red Jet.
Only downside Hotel a bit tired needs a bit of an uplift but I believe that is going to happen.
Despite this we would stay again.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room had spectacular views of the sea and was very spacious. All of the hotel staff were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious cooked by Michael a brilliant chef. We look forward to returning again soon.
The Villa Rothsay is a unique boutique hotel in Cowes steeped in sailing history, it has been family owned and run for decades. The character, position, service and breakfast are all first class. A gem and amongst our favourites.
Lovely spacious room and the location was perfect - right in the heart of bustling Cowes.
The Bed was very comfortable and there was lots of hot water. The heating was instantaneous when it became chilly in the evening
Really cute, and surprisingly private, chalet in garden. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Great breakfast. Truly lovely space. Perfect Isle of Wight stay - we will definitely stay for longer next time!
Lovely surroundings and very dog friendly. Basic amenities provided on arrival. Good communication from the hosts. Good access to everywhere else on the island. Oven and fridge in good condition.
The rooms were light, spacious and clean. The bathrooms had a good sized walk-in shower. We had a simple and great breakfast before we head to the beach just in front of the hotel.
