Just 50 metres from Porto Ercole, Hotel Conchiglia is on the Argentario peninsula. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout and traditionally furnished rooms with LCD TVs and private bathrooms. A gorgeous family run property in a lovely spot just around from the prettiest little harbour. Amazing value for money. The host makes you feel at home immediately. The hotel room and bathroom were immaculate and a great size. Reception had drinks for sale and there is a mini bar in the room. Breakfast was fab, the lady supervising was warm and welcoming. Parking was right outside. The village itself has lovely looking bars and restaurants, the two places we frequented offered great drinks with tasty food alongside. The little harbour front seafood spot was delicious.

Set on a cliff top in Porto Ercole, on the Monte Argentario Peninsula, the luxurious Il Pellicano offers a free private rocky beach, a swimming pool and a Michelin-starred restaurant. Loved every single detail about the property. The reason I gave 4/5 for location is because the hotel is located in a very remote and secluded area, which is the whole idea about relaxation. If you want to have any activity outside the hotel there is no taxi, Uber, bus, shuttle, public transportation,…. You MUST have a car or you need to pay a very high fee to have a private transfer by the hotel.

Francesca and Stefano were extremely helpful, we had car trouble they helped us with, they did everything for us. Stayed with three kids, no problems. Clean, location good, excellent bike service, good breakfast.

Offering a free outdoor pool and an à la carte restaurant, Hotel La Posta di Torrenova has a countryside location 4 km from Orbetello Train Station. My family and I stayed in a two-room studio spread across two floors for several days. + The lower floor door opens directly to the yard, where you’ll find sun loungers on the lawn and a refreshing swimming pool - a well-thought-out placement indeed! + The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally pleasant and friendly. + Breakfast followed the typical Italian style: a spread of bread, cheese, ham, muesli, pastries, cakes, juice, and excellent coffee.

Nicely positioned hotel with beautiful lake views from patio and forward facing rooms. Best pillows in Italy so far. Quiet nights. Very nice breakfast with seating option in courtyard with plenty of room. Very convenient for evening stroll, restaurants and shops. About 2 hr or less drive from Fiumicino made it an easy place to reach first day.

The Gianella beach has about 40m of very shallow water, lots of different kinds of shells, great for small kids, but also for swimming further out. We had a ground level apartment with a backyard with trees - great for kids playing, keeping all the beach toys etc, two drying racks. Many chairs both inside and outside.

We rented e-bikes from the hotel to tour Argentario on check-out day and could stop to swim along the way - once back we were offered towel and access to a shower - priceless!

The location is good to go visit the beaches, small cities like Orbetello, Monte Argentario and other very nice villages in the Maremma and Montemerano region. The hotel is in a secluded area but there are two towns nearby with tons of restaurants and bars, although the hotel's restaurant is also excellent.
