The property was impeccable…tastefully and extremely painstakingly restored by Mr Ong. My congratulations to him !!…Service was very efficient and staff was extremely courteous. We had the pleasure of staying at another of Mr Ong’s marvellous properties in 2011 - The Galle Fort Hotel in Sri Lanka. The hotel felt very luxurious. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were really polite, kind and understanding. The hotel is far from the tourist attractions, but after all if you visit Penang solely for tourism, I would recommend staying on the island in order to avoid the traffic on the bridges.

Tot!!! No sabria per on començar, certament m'allargaria massa. Una meravella d'hotel d'època colonial. L'"heritage wing" amb vista al mar és del tot aconsellable. Val la pena fer un esforç i allotjar-se en aquestes habitacions.

The breakfast buffet was exceptional. The pastries were exceptional, like they just came from a French Patisserie, the guy running the coffee stall was so friendly and helpful. There was every possible breakfast food you could imagine.
